David obtained a B.Sc. in 1989 from York University and his Juris Doctor (J.D.) in 1994 from Osgoode Hall Law School. He was called to the Bar in 1996. David’s practice focuses on civil litigation and insurance law with a particular emphasis on serious traumatic personal injury litigation, medical malpractice cases and statutory accident benefit claims. David has been consulted as an expert to provide his opinion on various class action damage claims and professional liability issues. He has litigated in other areas including estate matters, commercial matters and defamation claims.
David regularly appears before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice on behalf of injured clients and their families. He has conducted numerous mediations, trials and appeals. Over his two and one-half decades of practice, David has appeared before Ontario’s Divisional Court and Court of Appeal, the Financial Services Commission, Licence Appeal Tribunal, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board Appeal Tribunal and the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board. Given his expertise, David is frequently consulted by other lawyers on complex personal injury matters. David is a member of the Advocate Society, the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, the Medico-Legal Society of Toronto and the Toronto Lawyers Association.
